Roundtrip Cycling offers affordable, well organized bicycle training camps, day-clinics and individualized coaching programs designed and led by USA Cycling Coach & Certified Skills Instructor, Keith Ketterer.
Our In-Season day-clinics and cycling camps are focused on a variety of skills-topics including basic to advanced level riding skills & drills, pedaling efficiency, safe cornering and stopping techniques, climbing & descending, group riding and pace-line skills, while our Off-Season training camps and clinics focus on base-mileage, climbing endurance, bike handling skills and overall cycling fitness.
Registration is now open for our Climbing/Descending Skills Clinic, Saturday May-30, 2015 at King Gillette Ranch, 26876 Mulholland Hwy, Calabasas, CA.
Cost: $100 per-person by Friday May-29. $125 on-site/day of event.
Clinic/Course Description: Fun, insightful Climbing & Descending Skills Clinic specific to road-cycling, on a variety of paved road segments. Clinic starts with a sign-in and brief presentation, followed by skills & drills in the park, a 4-mile warm-up and assessment on Mulholland Hwy. Most of the skills and drills will be executed on a low-traffic, 2.5 mile sustained climb of 4 to 8 percent featuring tight switch-backs to wide sweeping turns.
8:30am thru Noon: Arrive promptly, dressed to ride with helmet, shoe, gloves, glasses, bottles and your drop-bar road bike, tuned and geared for climbing.
Sag Vehicle: We will have a support car with us the entire session stocked with water and Cytomax products or you can bring your own preferred items and place them in the car.
$7.00 Parking Fee: Required by National Park Service (NPS), not included in the clinic price; assessed per-vehicle by NPS via honor-system, so carpool if possible.
King Gillette Ranch, located at 26876 Mulholland Hwy, Calabasas, CA 91302. Enter park off Mulholland Hwy, one block east of Las Virgenes Road and follow the signs past the Visitor Center, left to the dormitory parking lot. Public Restroom available at Visitor Center.
